Physical condition level

The level of physical condition required to do the Lares trek 4 days tour is medium, so it is important to prepare yourself physically at least 2 months before the trekking.

Start of the trek

Most treks start in the town of Calca, in the Sacred Valley, and end in Ollantaytambo, where you will take the train to Aguas Calientes and finally reach Machu Picchu; however, we generally start from Cusco.

During the trek, you will enjoy breathtaking natural scenery and have the opportunity to interact with the local community, in many cases learning a few words in Quechua, which the villagers will teach us.

What to do in Machu Picchu?

Once we arrive at the town of Aguas Calientes, depending on our itinerary we can go to rest in a hotel or we can take mobility to ascend to the entrance of Machu Picchu. We will have about 2 hours of guided tour throughout the entire Machu Picchu llaqta. If you have the ticket to climb Wayna Picchu, you will have additional time before returning to Aguas Calientes and then to Cusco.

On your return to Aguas Calientes, if you have additional time you can take short walks around the town, such as:
