Itinerary of the Inca Jungle Tour
WHERE DOES THE INCA JUNGLE TREK END?
The Inca Jungle trek culminates at Machu Picchu. After 3 or maybe 4 days of hiking and enjoying the adventure activities, you will arrive at your final destination: Machu Picchu nestled on the top of the mountain.

The Inca Jungle trek lasts four days and three nights (04 D/03 N), however, there is also a shorter option of 3 days and 2 nights. Both versions offer the same activities and itinerary.
Both offer the same activities! The only difference is time. You will go faster and hike less distance by choosing the shorter option. I think it’s the same experience in a fresh time. Maybe doesn’t have a huge difference, but both are worth it!

VERSIONS OF THE INCA JUNGLE TREK
The Inca Jungle trek has become increasingly popular among travellers. It is now considered one of the best adventure treks with the final destination being the Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary.
How come?
Unlike the Classic Inca Trail, Salkantay Trek, or Choquequirao Trek, which are very popular and traditional treks to reach the citadel of Machu Picchu; the Inca Jungle trek is an unconventional trek that takes place in the jungle of Cuzco. It is characterized by offering adventure activities that will keep you on the edge and challenge your fears.
There are two classic Inca Jungle trail versions:
- Four days and three nights (4D/3N)
- Three days and two nights (3D/2N)
HOW LONG IS INCA JUNGLE 4D/3N? IS IT HARD?
This is the best option for adventurous people by offering a combination of trekking and extreme sports done between the Andes, some short Inca Trail’s sections and the Amazon towards Machu Picchu. You will also enjoy the warm climate and lush jungle scenery and before reaching Machu Picchu, it’s possible to relax and spend great time in the hot springs of Santa Teresa.
Remember, you will visit a coffee plantation and see the whole coffee-making process and taste some of the best coffee worldwide.

- Difficulty level: Mild- Tough
- Group size: 8 people
- Places you will visit!

HOW LONG IS INCA JUNGLE 3D/2N? IS IT HARDER THAN THE OTHER OPTION?
This incredible and obviously faster option covers the same trail as the other! Also, it offers almost the same landscapes and wide biodiversity along the route.
Depending on people’s travel time, we recommend reconsidering this option because you will go faster! It’s better to spend more days talking or doing adventure activities.
I think the Inca Jungle trail must be done in more days, but not everyone has this time to spend. There is a lot more to explore near the Inca Jungle route!
