Itinerary

Andean Wedding in Chinchero

We will pick you up early from your hotel in Cusco at 8:00 a.m. and travel to Chinchero (3,762 m / 12,343 ft), located less than an hour away. Upon arrival, the couple will be greeted by local community members with traditional music, flower necklaces, and a warm Andean herbal infusion.

You’ll then receive traditional ceremonial outfits to wear throughout the ritual.

From Chinchero’s main square, you’ll take a light walk along ancient agricultural paths toward the shores of Piuray Lagoon (3,720 m / 12,204 ft), surrounded by sacred mountains, Inca terraces, and rural farmlands.

Here, a Paq’o (Andean priest) will await you beside a ceremonial altar adorned with flowers, coca leaves, seeds, colored wools, and symbolic elements representing harmony with Pachamama and the Apus.

The Andean priest will guide you through the following sacred stages:

Energetic cleansing with aromatic plants and incense
Coca leaf reading (Coca Q’away) to connect with the couple’s spiritual energy
