What currency is recommended to use in Peru?

While it is true that the dollar is used and accepted in several places in Peru, it is advisable to carry money in Soles (PEN) and above all manage it in cash. Also, a credit card can be used for cash advances in case of emergency. For tours in Cusco.

And when you receive local money soles, if possible order in simple (small bills), because in most towns the economic movement is less and therefore products or services are low cost.

Peru has three main climatic zones: the tropical Amazon rainforest to the east, the arid coastal desert to the west, and the Andean mountains in the Peruvian highlands. In the Andes, they have altitudes above 3500 msnm. Therefore, average daily temperatures fluctuate around 10 ° C (50 ° F).
