Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT CUSCO – CITY TOUR

We will wait for you at the airport to pick you up and welcome you to Cusco city. After a transfer to your hotel for check-in and a moment for you to settle in for the next few days, in the afternoon, we throughout the city to visit the main attractions. We begin with Qoricancha – one of the main Inca temples in Cusco. So, when the Spanish arrived in Peru, they proceeded to build a massive colonial church, today is known as Santo Domingo. DAY 2: SACRED VALLEY (CHINCHERO – MORAY – SALT MINES)

Firstly, we will begin our adventure up to the high plains, stopping first at Chinchero, an important ancient site for the Inca, known as the birthplace of the rainbow. Also, we visit the main site with its picturesque colonial church located upon the ancient archaeological. Then, we will continue to a local textile center where we learn about the ancient science of weaving from the very artisans themselves. Continuing through the rolling hills, we will visit the enigmatic circular terraces of Moray Peru. DAY 3: MACHU PICCHU

Today, we will wake early to have breakfast and board the bus up to Machu Picchu, and, if we are lucky, receive the first rays of the sun as dawn breaks and lights up this magical mountain. So, your guide will be with you at every moment to inform you about the site and answer any questions. Certainly, the guided tour through the Sanctuary will last roughly 2 hours. Later, we will begin our return to Aguas Calientes for lunch and rest before our late afternoon train to Ollantaytambo. Following our journey by train, our land transport will await our transfer to Cusco and back to your Hotel.

DIA 4: RAINBOW MOUNTAIN

Our day begins before dawn for a light breakfast before our journey by bus to “Vinicunca”, or also known as the Mountain of Seven Colors. Along the way, there are many opportunities to appreciate the essence of the Andes, ranging from small agricultural communities, snow-capped peaks, herds of alpacas, and abundant vegetation. Finally, at the end of the road, we will begin our trek towards the high pass, where we can observe the picturesque mountain of many colors.
