In the lowland areas near forested slopes, which are drier areas, precipitation is approximately 2,000 mm per year.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the high, moist tropical rainforest regions, annual precipitation is approximately 3,000 mm.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Aim:<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main focus of the Ashaninka Communal Reserve is to guarantee the biological biodiversity conservation for the benefit of neighboring native communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Description:<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>Ashaninka Communal Reserve<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was created on January 13, 2003. This reserve was established in order to conserve and protect biological diversity that exists in the area of the departments of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inkayniperutours.com\/blog\/inti-raymi-festival-of-the-sun-in-cusco\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><b>Cusco<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and Junin. Within this communal reserve, new settlements are prohibited as are expansion of agricultural or livestock activities, and timber extraction. Communal reserve establishment does not grant property rights to the communities. Instead, the state recognizes and protects the right of traditional access to natural resources for subsistence-based activities. In this case, the state recognizes the rights of the native community of the Ashaninkas; they should exercise their user rights in harmony with the objectives of the natural protected areas as established by law.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With this reserve Ener, Tambo and Apurimac rivers, which are the main water resource, will be protected.
