Battle of Yanacocha, Cusco<\/b><\/h3>\n

The Battle of Yanacocha of 1835 took place in the beautiful Yanacocha lagoon, located in the town of Huayoccari in the province of <\/span>Urubamba<\/b><\/a>, <\/span>Cusco<\/b><\/a>. Peruvian army led by Agust\u00edn Gamarra fought against the Bolivian army led by the president of the country, Andres De Santa Cruz.<\/span><\/p>\n

But, what was the main cause of the battle? The main cause of the battle was the prevalence criteria of domains. The leaders of both countries were looking for controlling the opposite side. Since no agreement was achieved, both countries decided to fight in the battle called Battle of Yanacocha.<\/span><\/p>\n

Unfortunately, Peruvian army was defeated by the Bolivian army and\u00a0 general Agust\u00edn Gamarra disappeared after that. He looked for alliances outside the country to deal with the failure at war.<\/span><\/p>\n
