And most of us have always dreamed of living in a castle just like the ones we have watched in the movies or at least visit one of them . In Peru this fantasy can come true since there are 5 fantastic dream castles. One of them is located in the Peruvian jungle.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These castles are:<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>1.- Chancay\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Castle <\/strong><\/h3>\n<div id=\"attachment_4747\" style=\"width: 875px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4747\" class=\"wp-image-4747 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inkayniperutours.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Castillo-Chancay-Inkayni-Peru-Tours.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"865\" height=\"487\"><p id=\"caption-attachment-4747\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><b><i>Chancay Castle in\u00a0 the province of Huaral<\/i><\/b><\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chancay castle is located in Chancay, a seaside pueblo one hour north of Lima. It was built by Amanda Consuelo Amat and Le\u00f3n Rolando in honour of her husband, Romulo Boggio. Construction started in 1924 and took about 10 years to complete it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was abandoned for almost 30 years until a grandson named Juan Barreto Boggio decided to\u00a0 repair it following the original design. He wanted to finish the castle just in time for the visit of the Spanish King Alfonso XIII to be able to live there. The fact is that after the political revolution and the abdication of King Alfonso, Dr. Rospigliosi used the castle as a family settlement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the Peruvian state assumed control of the castle, in 1949, the Peruvian Air Force housed it there. It is still there, along with the Aeronautical Museum, the Aeronautical Museum of Peru, which houses important testimonies of the history of aviation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Opening hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 17:00.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>3.- Forga Castle<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div id=\"attachment_4745\" style=\"width: 875px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4745\" class=\"wp-image-4745 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inkayniperutours.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Castillo-Forga-Inkayni-Peru-Tours.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"865\" height=\"566\"><p id=\"caption-attachment-4745\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em><strong><b><i>Forga Castle nestled atop a reef in the port of Mollendo<\/i><\/b>.<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It nestled atop a reef near Mollendo beach in Arequipa. The castle was built by a successful businessman Jos\u00e9 Miguel Forga between 1908 and 1910. It was also called the \u201cWhite House\u201d since very large and lavish social gatherings took place there. Soon after, however, Forga failed in cotton trade in the fall of the New York Stock Exchange in 1929. He was indebted to the State. The government topped the castle 1950.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This castle is a symbol of Mollendo and Historical Monument of the Nation in 1986. It is in the middle of a small town in the San Mart\u00edn Region of Peru. He made his dream come true. He had completely fallen in love with the Lamas hill and village. It reminded him of Europe. He decided to build a medieval castle that has a great sentimental value for him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He built the Lamas castle with natural stones from the region, moulded by hand and according to his ideas. The castle is built on five levels. At each level there is a magnificent view of the valley of the Rio Mayo and its surroundings. The construction of this castle began in 1843 and ended in 1900. It took almost 60 years to complete it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tourists can see a building in the Gothic style. It has dungeons and 3 tunnels that connected with 2 plantation home, Montalban and Arona and Cochahuasi beach. <\/span><b>Why were tunnels and dungeons were built? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They were used as the first Ca\u00f1ete prison in 1924.
