This wonderful site is a geological complex located in the district of Suykutambo, Espinar province, in the Cusco region. This marks the meeting point of three rivers: the Apur\u00edmac, Callumani and Cerritambo, as they come together to form the Gran Apur\u00edmac. It has impressive geological formations of volcanic origin that are 80 meters high and a rich forest landscape composed of que\u00f1uas (Polylepis) and tolas (Parastrephia lepidophylla). These rocky formations, formed by the passage of the rivers, give the area its name, Three Canyons.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Inkayni important fact<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Peru Ministry of Environment declared, under <\/span><b>Supreme<\/b> <b>Decree N\u00b0006-2017- MINAM,<\/b> <b>Three Canyons of Suykutambo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a<\/span><b> Protected area<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This was officially declared <\/span><b>on August 24, 2017<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This decree will allow locals to make proper use of the natural sources of the area and benefit from the conservation and rural development of the site.<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thanks to its incredible geography, the Three Canyons of Suykutambo make a perfect tourist attraction. <\/span><b>\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The rivers, slopes and plateau of the area allow tourists to participate in adventure sports like trekking, paragliding, canoeing and rock climbing.
