Days are bright and sunny with a temperature of 16 \u00b0C (61 \u00b0F) while nights are much colder sometimes with a low temperature of 0 \u00b0C (32 \u00b0F).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The dry season is widely considered the best time to come to Cusco, but it is also the busiest time to travel.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>The rainy season: From November to April<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During this time Cusco receives a greater amount of rainfall. Average daytime temperatures are higher than the dry season at 18 \u00b0C (64 \u00b0F) while night temperatures can be as cold as 9 \u00b0C (48 \u00b0F)<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>What are the Moray terraces?<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to historians, these circular terraces are gigantic natural holes that were built and used by the Incas with their respective irrigation channels as an agricultural laboratory. Each circular terrace was used as an agricultural research station.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The terraces were used to cultivate and acclimate agricultural crops such as potatoes, corn, quinoa, kiwicha, winter and summer squash, and even coca.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2349\" style=\"width: 823px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2349\" class=\" wp-image-2349\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inkayniperutours.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Maras.webp\" alt=\"Andenes de Moray\" width=\"813\" height=\"374\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-2349\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Moray terraces<\/p><\/div>\n<h4><b>The archeological site of Moray<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is believed that Moray was used by the Incas as an agriculture research station. It is at least the most widely accepted theory.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The terraces were made by building containment walls filled with fertile earth. They were watered through a complex irrigation system. At the base of the terraces, there is a rain water storage system.
