If you need more information, do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to help you! Email: info@inkayniperutours.com
1.-WHY SHOULD I BOOK THE INCA TRAIL FOR THE YEAR 2020 IN ADVANCE?
The Peruvian government limits the traffic of the Inca Trail to 500 people per day, including guides, cooks, and porters who must carry all food, tents, etc. No carriage animals are allowed on the Inca Trail, as their hoofs damage the old stone roads. The proportion of support staff to hikers is 6 to 1, so in reality, there are not many entry permits for hikers! Each hiker must register through an authorized travel agent, usually months in advance, as the permits are sold very quickly (Up to 06 months before the date of travel). Planning and reserving your place months in advance is essential for the trekking of the famous Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Especially for months of high demand from March to September. Likewise, availability in April, May, June, and July deplete very quickly, sometimes hours after the availability is made public. All permits are sold between 6 – 8 months in advance. This means that we need our list of hikers and all your necessary information. We must have your exact passport information also to ensure your permit. Then we are ready to reserve the openings as soon as they are available, usually in December.

We can not guarantee that we will get your preferred departure date, but last year we got 100% of the permits for the dates of preference.

1.- What information we need to make your booking?

That gives thanks and praise, and that gives strength and effort towards personal growth and transformation; to opening up space and experience that promotes self-realization. Transcending our limitations and breaking new ground to reveal our infinite gifts and potential as individual flowers and manifestations of One divine consciousness. Here in the Andes, with a stunning natural landscape and a rich history of culture, science and wisdom. It’s no wonder why people are called here from all corners of the globe. Yet few are those pilgrims who come searching, who come called to a higher purpose on a walkabout through the Andes.

This ancient science continues to be disregarded among modern society and its effects are obvious. We are destroying both on a personal level our only physical vessel and on a collective level our only home and source of sustenance, the Earth. Healing and self-realization are not only possible – they are fully available to those who feel the calling. The tools, or medicines as we prefer to call them, left behind by the ancients. And still practiced by many today are here to serve us as amazing potential for personal transformation and thus the potential to change the current state of humanity’s existential crisis.

First, let us introduce you more into our sacred space and sacred time of the nature of these journeys. Sacred Travel seeks to guide the individual through the recognition of one’s true nature, and therefore the nature of the cosmos (as below, so above; as within, so without) through a process of experiences. We believe that it is just a question of remembering, for it is part of our origins, engrained into our being. Some call this Cosmovision. With this memory awakened, with our consciousness enlightening and our awareness tuned-in, we then have the tools to coexist and thrive with all of Creation, bringing more fullness into our lives. Recognizing our origins and the natural cosmic law that is (not that we create), we may discover how to flow as part of the web of life (not above or superior to it) and promote well-being throughout our life and beyond. For us, this cosmovision is global and was shared by many ancient cultures. As applied in the Andes, it only takes into account aspects of the natural world and landscape that surrounds us, such as the geographic expressions and also the footsteps left by the ancestors.

We would like to offer something different for those looking to head off the beaten path, for those looking for support in life, for those hungry for a deeper experience and understanding of our true human nature. These experiences will be personally tailored to fit the individuals’ needs or interests. From our deepest passion and profound respect to our ancestors, as guides of the Andean medicine path we are privileged to offer you this journey. In these journeys we will visit the best sacred sites or places of power that seek to assist and support us through our experiences. Spiritual tours.

Sacred Travel Ceremonies with Wachuma (San Pedro)

This ancestral plant medicine has thousands of years of use in the Andes, supporting dozens of cultures from Colombia all the way through the Andes to northern Argentina and Chile. This medicine is pure unconditional Love, the Love that created the entire Universe and continues to create each day, and the Love that we also are as children of the Universe. This master plant guides us within through the realms of our inner-consciousness and also assists us in the recognition of our place in the Cosmos and the profound connection we have with Mother Earth, bringing us closer to her heart and her embrace and ready to receive all the support and blessings she has for us. It helps us cleanse and heal our imbalances and energetic blockages to manifest greater health and vitality; to liberate through the powerful medicine of forgiveness those experiences from the past that may have caused (or still cause) trauma, pain and suffering in the present, limiting our true nature to continually reinvent and recreate ourselves each day, living in the pure innocence of the eternal child, in wonder of the miracle of each new dawn. Wachuma acts as a mirror where we may observe our habits, conditionings and beliefs to see whether or not they really serve us or if we need them, as well as to recognize the limitations of the ego and how to liberate ourselves from its control while bringing deeper clarity and calm into our minds. Through this sacred space and sacred time in ceremony with Wachuma, we return back to Source, back to our origins as pure love, creative potential and possibility, living in abundance and flourishing and human beings in the dance of creation.

Spiritual Tours Ceremonies of Karpay & Offerings

Karpay is the ancient ritual of initiation through the blessing of receiving one or more of the four elements (water, air, fire, earth) to assist a specific aspect of one’s spiritual journey or to receive more strength and vitality from the creations primal energies.

Offerings are another ancestral ceremony that expresses deep gratitude towards the pillars of Creation and all the gods, beings, spirits, etc that support our existence (Pachamama, the Apus or sacred mountain deities, spirits of the elements). Offerings also give us an opportunity to express our prayers and intentions, to manifest in our lives that which we need to flourish. Offerings release a huge amount of energy that can be directed towards healing, projects or initiatives,

ITINERARY CUSCO AND MACHU PICCHU LUXURY TOUR 7D/6N

DAY 1: CUSCO NAVEL OF THE WORLD

Our 7-Day Cusco and Machu Picchu Luxury Tour starts with your arrival to the City of Cusco, where an Inkayni Peru Tours member will be there to greet you and take you to the Palacio del Inka, A Luxury Collection Hotel. The Hotel is centrally located and only a few minutes walk from the Plaza de Armas, the beautiful and bustling town center. This day will be reserved for resting and acclimatising to the altitude, approximately 3400 meters (11,000 feet).

DÍA 2: CITY TOUR

This trip starts at Sacsayhuaman, one of the emblematic buildings of the Inca Empire (just a few minutes from the centre of the city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site) built by the Inca Pachacutec in the 15th Century. It is a vast fortress built from huge stones; how they were transported and worked is still a mystery. It has been calculated that what we see today is only twenty percent of the original structure, because when the Spanish arrived they used its stones for new buildings such as the cathedral.

PLACES THAT ARE VISITED:

  • Sacsayhuaman.
  • Qenko.
  • Tambomachay.
  • Puca Pucara.

Lodging: Cusco PALACIO DEL INKA, A LUXURY COLLECTION HOTEL

DAY 3: LUXURY HIRAM BINGHAM TRAIN TO MACHU PICCHU

Continuing with our Cusco and Machu Picchu Luxury Tour 7d/6n, your guide will pick you up from your hotel this morning to move to the Poroy train station to board the luxurious Hiram Bingham train – a must see for those seeking the highest level of luxury – to Aguas Calientes, at the foot of Machu Picchu. Enjoy a gourmet brunch during the spectacular trip that descends towards the Sacred Valley and passes through exuberant landscapes and Andean towns. Upon your arrival in Aguas Calientes you will board a bus to reach the entrance to Machu Picchu.

“Magnificence” is the only word to describe the scene, when contemplating the ruins of Machu Picchu. The main destination of many traveler lists, the “Lost City of the Incas” is a man-made wonder that has become a symbol of the ingenuity and prosperity of one of the most expansive empires in Latin American history. Only a century ago the incredible ruins were discovered. Its fascination is due in part to its location, high on the mountain at 2,430m / 7,972 feet above sea level. Enjoy a 2-3 hour guided tour of Machu Picchu before spending the rest of the afternoon exploring the ruins after most visitors have left the site. After, return by bus to your hotel in Aguas Calientes.

DAY 4: MACHUPICCHU – SACRED VALLEY

Today, we will rise very early for breakfast and ascend to the citadel Inka of Machu Picchu for second time (approx 25 minutes by bus) to appreciate sunrise at this magical place, a famous masterpiece of architecture and engineering, believed to have been a sanctuary and energetic center. Today, Machu Picchu is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site and is considered one of the new seven wonders of the world.

Optional: The trek to the peak of Huayna Picchu, a rigorous climb on steep trails with impressive ruins and spectacular views, a round-trip of 2 hours.

In the afternoon we will return to the Sacred Valley by Vistadome train. Finalizing with our most important full day tour of  the 7-Day Cusco and Machu Picchu Luxury Trip.

DAY 5: SACRED VALLEY TOUR

After enjoying the hotel we will start our tour with the visiting of  the “living ” Inka town of Ollantaytambo, a former Inca administrative center and gateway to the Antisuyo (the Amazon corner of the Inca Empire), sits at the northern end of the Sacred Valley. At the time of the Spanish invasion and conquest of Peru, Ollantaytambo served as the last stronghold for Inca Manco Yupanqui, leader of the Inca resistance at the time. Nowadays the Ollantaytambo ruins and town are an important and popular tourist attraction in the Sacred Valley.

Later we will continue to Moray, an ancient construction designed for agricultural investigations and studies of different crops in a range of altitudes. Here, the many concentric “rings” of terraces produce a fine gradient of micro-climates; the warmth of the lowest central ring slowly dissipates as the rings ascend outward and upward, creating reductions in temperatures until reaching the ground-level norm.

Our last place to visit will be Chinchero: the rainbow village, home of the ruins of the royal palace of the Inka Túpac Inca Yupanqui, a pictures community located on a high plateau overlooking the many snowcapped peaks of the Cusco region. Here we can admire the well preserved Inka walls of the main square as well as the many altars. We will also visit the beautiful colonial church of Chinchero, unique for its interior artwork and imagery.

Moving on, we will participate in a wonderful introduction and learning experience of the art of Andean textiles; throughout the afternoon we will become acquainted with the wisdom of Andean weavings as maintained since long before Inka times.

DAY 6: PISAQ – PISAQ MARKET – ANIMAL SANCTUARY

This morning we will continue with our 7-Day Cusco and Machu Picchu Luxury Tour, first we will travel to the town of Pisaq. One of the Sacred Valley’s best archaeological gems is the beautiful Inca ruins at Pisac. Set in the mountainside high above the village of Pisac, the ruins are a must visit for anyone heading to the Sacred Valley. Pisaq is known mainly for two reasons – for its famous craft market and for its archaeological site. Here we will have free time to wander the market and to interact with the many local artisans. After enjoying the typical market we will retund to Cusco, on the way we will stop to visit the Animal Sanctuary of Cochahuasi: here we may observe many of the native Andean species such as the puma, andean cóndor, alpacas, and more.

DAY 7: WALKING TOUR – FLY TO LIMA

Free morning to relax or walking tour. The walking tour will visit the following places:

  • Plaza de Armas / Main Plaza, which is home to the main cathedral and colonial houses
  • Plaza Nazarenas
  • San Blas neighborhood
  • The twelve angle stone
  • San Pedro local market

This afternoon transfer to the airport of Cusco for your departure to Lima or another place. (End of the tour 7-Day Cusco and Machu Picchu Luxury Travel)

In the afternoon we will visit the Inka Museum, home of thousands of years of Andean culture. Here we will become more familiar with the origins of Andean civilizations. Continuing with the tour we will move onto the temple of Koricancha, the famous Sun Temple of Qosqo that was and still remains the pinnacle of organization, architecture, and religion of Inka civilization. Here we will learn why this temple may have represented the center of centers, or “Navel of the World” according to the ancient Andean cosmovision.

  • Lodging: Cusco Tandapata Boutique Hotel *** or similar.

DAY 2: SAQSAYHUAMAN – TEMPLE OF THE MOON – TRANSFER TO CHINCHERO

From here we will continue on to the Temple of the Moon, a place for spiritual connection and encounter with the feminine energy of the Moon Goddess.

Here you will have your first opportunity to connect with Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the energies of the Andes. At the same time we will also introduce you to the Karpay ritual. In the afternoon we will travel by car to the town of Chinchero.

This ceremony is a perfect opportunity to begin your personal journey of cleaning, healing, and purifying on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. Bringing us into a profound state of meditation and self-reflection we may communicate with the one divine consciousness, gifting us the revelations needed to live in a greater state of harmony and joy. Full day of ceremony in sacred space and time!

Continuing by car to Moray, an ancient construction designed for agricultural investigations and studies of different crops in a range of altitudes and micro-climates.

Our last visit will be to the Salt Mines of Maras, made up of about 3,000 small wells with an area average size of about 5 m². This salt mine has been used for thousands of years and was a very important economic element in Inca times. We will learn the recollection method and about the lives of the two families who work there.

In the afternoon we will travel by car to the town of Ollantaytambo and to the train station for our transfer to the town of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes). In the evening you will have a short briefing with your tour guide, this is to be ready for the next day in our tour to Machu Picchu.

Located in the valley of Ankawasi (House of the Eagle) with views of rural agricultural communities and nestled at the foothills of the Salkantay mountain range, a traditional Andean priest will accompany us for the “despacho” (offering) ceremony, where we will have the opportunity to express our prayers and gratitude to Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the Apus, the guardian spirits of the mountains.

This ceremony is also another opportunity to go deeper into our spiritual essences, to continue to heal and harmonize while liberating or transforming all heavy energy we have accumulated through our experiences in life and make way for more light energy, expanding our personal awareness and consciousness into higher vibrations.

  • Lodging: Cusco Tandapata Boutique Hotel *** or similar.

DAY 7: DEPARTURE TO PUNO (ROUTE OF THE SUN)

In the morning we will depart from the bus terminal and head towards Puno. This is a special journey by bus which allows us to visit many diverse locations along the way on the route of the sun. There will be planned stops to visit the following sites:

  • Andahuaylillas: the Sistine chapel of the Americas; this temple highlights the fusion between the Catholic and Andean religions.
  • Raqchi: An Inka temple dedicated to the god Wiracocha, construction of monumental dimensions, an estimated 100 meters long, 26m wide, 14m high. This is the only known temple dedicated to the God Wiracocha, creator of the Universe.
  • La Raya: Midway point on our journey and highest point on the road – 4335 m.s.n.m. The impressive views here allow us to admire the ruggedness of the high altitudes in the shadows of high peaks, many of which are snow-capped, and herds of llamas, alpacas and vicuñas. This is the geographic border between two cultures, the Quechua of Cusco and the Aymara or Qolla of Puno.
  • Pucara: This ceremonial center is one of the oldest and most important of the high plains, well known for its lithic structures and tombs.

Lodging: Puno Qalasaya Hotel **** or similar.

We will learn about their existence on these small islands and how they have adapted to its conditions.

Continuing across the lake we will arrive to the island of Amantani. Here we will meet the Quechua families that will offer us humble yet cozy home-stay style lodging and prepare us traditional food for lunch. After lunch we will make the short ascent to the two hilltops of the island while observing the daily lifestyle of the local people. Atop of the island we will visit two ancient pre-Inka temples, Pachatata and Pachamama (father & mother cosmos). In the afternoon we will return to the city of Puno and spend the night there.

  • Lodging: Puno Qalasaya Hotel **** or similar.

DAY 10:  WACHUMA – SAN PEDRO CEREMONY IN AMARU MURU OR WILLKA UTA (SACRED DOORWAY)

The temple, known in Quechua as “Inca Uyo,” houses around 20 large phallic statues denoting the temple as an ancient ritual fertility site.

Continuing through the Valley of the Spirits we will arrive at Amaru Muru. This is one of the most sacred and energetically charged places that exist in the Lake Titicaca area. The site includes an enigmatic altar, a 5 meter high carving in solid rock which is known to be a portal into other dimensions. The altar will guide us into ceremony where we may honor our personal growth and our rebirth as we cross into our new life. Here is where we have our last ceremony with the Master Plant Wachuma.
