inkayni-peru-tours-cusco-salineras-de-maras-tours-viaje-andino-5-dias inkayni-peru-tours-cusco-moray-tours-viaje-andino-5-dias

In the morning we will visit Moray (3,500 meters/11,483 feet), an old construction designed for agricultural research. Here the many concentric “rings” of platforms (cultivation terraces) produce a fine micro-climate gradient. Thus, the heat from the lower center ring slowly dissipates as the rings ascend outwards, creating a temperature reduction to the ground-level standard.

After that, we will descend a little to the Maras Salt Mines (3,500 meters/11,483 feet), located about 2 kilometers, an important production center that dates back to pre-Inca times. Here we will find more than 3,000 salt wells minted along the mountainside, filled daily with water that seeps into the earth.

The last place we will visit will be Chinchero (3,762 meters/12,342 feet), here we will admire the Inca walls well preserved in the main square as many altars. We will also visit the beautiful colonial church, unique for its works of art and imagery. Continuing, we will participate in a wonderful introduction to the art of Andean fabrics. Throughout the afternoon we will familiarize ourselves with the wisdom of Andean Fabrics.

Certainly, the Callao is the arrival point of flights from North, Central and South America, and two regular direct flights from Europe (Madrid and Amsterdam). Also, check the airport website or call 01-511-6055 to update departure and arrival times for domestic and international flights.

Most importantly, Cusco has the only other airport with international service to La Paz, Bolivia.

Do I need a visa to enter Peru?

First, there are some exceptions (often Asian, African, and Communist countries), no visa is required to enter Peru.

Tourists are allowed a stay of 30 to 90 days. The immigration office determines the actual stay length. Certainly, they will stamp on their passports and the Andean Migration Card the date of entry and exit of the country.

TAM and passport importance during your stay in Peru – Andean trip

Be careful not to lose your tourist card, or you will have to queue at the immigration office (immigration office). Also known as migrations to get a replacement card. It is a good idea to carry your passport and TAM in your pocket, especially when traveling in remote areas. For example, it is required by law on the Inca Trail.

Most importantly, for security get a photocopy of both documents and keep them separate from the originals. For the tour Cusco 5 days.

Money in Peru

Peru uses the Nuevo Sol (S/.), negotiated between S/. 3.00 and S/. 3.30 depending on the US dollar (US) exchange rate and current events.

It is advisable to bring cash, an ATM card, or traveler’s checks. Also, a credit card can be used for cash advances in emergency cases.

When you receive local money, order in single (small bills). Certainly, S/. 100 or more are difficult to change in small towns or for small purchases. Therefore, bring as much as possible, especially in small towns.

IT IS RECOMMENDED TO BRING COINS OR NOTES LESS THAN 50 OR 100 SOLES WHILE YOU ARE ON THE 05 DAYS TOUR CUSCO AND MACHU PICCHU

  • Public toilets often charge a small fee for use. In other words, changing large tickets can be impossible during the tour for 5 days.
  • On the other hand, the best places for the money exchange rate are ‘Casas de Cambios’. They are fast and often give slightly better rates than banks.
  • In addition, many places accept U.S. dollars They do not accept broken money, as it will probably not be accepted by Peruvian locals.
  • Certainly, it is better not to exchange money on the street because counterfeit bills are a problem. On the tour 05 days Cusco and Machu Picchu.
Power supply, electricity, voltage and frequency in Peru (110 or 220)?

Therefore, the electric current is 220V, 60HZ AC, and standard plugs accept round inputs. But, many places will have dual-voltage outlets that take flat inputs. As a result, you may need an adapter with a built-in surge protector.

What should we pack?

Above all, Peru is a diverse country in natural and cultural resources. So, you only need a passport to enter the country. Taking some precautions will help you enjoy the wealth of this beautiful land.

Phone Calls

Public telephones operated by Telefónica-Peru (www.telefonica.com.pe) and Claro-Peru (www.claro.com.pe) are available on the street, even in small cities. You can also pay with phone calling cards, which can be purchased at stores and supermarkets. However, Internet cafes often have private phone booths with “network to phone” and “network to network” capabilities (as with Skype). You can talk for pennies or even free.

On the other hand, when calling Peru from abroad, dial the international access code of the city. Then, the country code of Peru (51), then the area code without the (0), and finally the local number.

Then, when you make international calls from Peru, dial the international access code (00). Then, the code of the country you are calling, then the area code, and finally the local phone number.

Usually, in Peru, any phone number that starts with a 9 is a cell phone number. So numbers starting with 0800 are usually free only when dialed from private phones, not from public phones.

What is the time difference between the United States and Peru?

Likewise, Peru is five hours behind the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). It is the same as Standard Eastern Time (EST) in North America.

Consequently, Daylight Saving Time (DST) is not used in Peru. So, add an hour to all these times between the first Sunday in April and the last Sunday in October.

Weather

Peru has three main climatic zones: the tropical Amazon rainforest to the east, the arid coastal desert to the west, and the Andean mountains in the Peruvian highlands. In the Andes, they have altitudes above 3500 m. Therefore, average daily temperatures fluctuate around 10 ° C (50 ° F). In addition, overnight temperatures can reach a freezing state. Consequently, travelers fly directly to Cusco (3250m), or its high-altitude cities. Therefore, they should have several days to acclimatize from altitude sickness or soroche which can be a big problem.

On the other hand, from April to November is the dry season in the mountain and plateau (Andean plateau). Then, between December and March is the season where fluvial rainfall occurs. Certainly, it depends on the season in which you make the tour Cusco 5 days, should come prevented.
