inkayni-peru-tours-cusco-salineras-de-maras-tours-viaje-andino-5-dias inkayni-peru-tours-cusco-moray-tours-viaje-andino-5-dias

In the morning we will visit Moray, an ancient construction designed for agricultural investigations and studies of different crops in a range of altitudes. Certainly, there are many concentric “rings” of terraces that produce a fine gradient of micro-climates. Also, the warmth of the lowest central ring slowly dissipates as the rings ascend outward and upward, creating reductions in temperatures until reaching the ground-level norm.

So, when you are done exploring Moray you will head to the Maras salt mines, which is about 2 miles away. This village is known as a former salt-producing center that is thought to date back all the way to pre-Inca times. Therefore, there are over 3000 salt pools all carved into the mountainside, being filled daily by a little stream of water.

The last place to visit will be Chinchero, so, we can admire the well-preserved Inka walls of the main square as well as the many altars. Likewise, we will visit the beautiful colonial church, unique for its interior artwork and imagery. Moving on, we will participate in a wonderful introduction and learning experience of the art of Andean textiles. Throughout the afternoon, we will become acquainted with the wisdom of Andean weavings as maintained since long before Inka times.

Finally, in the evening we will have a buffet dinner, with music, show and typical dances.
