What is the best season to make the tour 06 days Cusco essential ?

The best season for the «Machu Picchu, Mountain Tour 7 Colors, and Humantay Lake» is usually during the dry season (April – October).

The months from June to August are usually the most popular due to more stable weather conditions. The days will be sunny and there will be less chance of rain.

Is it important to acclimate for this trip?

Yes. Most people adapt well in 1-2 days to the altitude of 3,400 meters in Cusco. But it is important to remember that not everyone reacts in the same way to the change of altitude, some may feel altitude sickness and others not. So acclimatization is indispensable to fully enjoy each day without worrying about altitude sickness or soroche.

What should I do if I feel bad during the trek to Humantay Lake or Rainbow Mountain?

If you experience symptoms of altitude sickness during your walk to Humantay Lake, or Rainbow Mountain, it is important to immediately communicate your discomfort to your guide. Resting, staying hydrated, and chewing coca leaves in small amounts are initial steps. In severe cases, it is necessary to descend to lower altitudes, which could mean not continuing with the tour. On the other hand, we recommend acclimatizing for at least 1 day in Cusco, and avoiding heavy meals, alcohol, and tobacco before hiking.
